Terms of Service & Privacy Policy

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Print Awan ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Print Awan is a location-aware document printing marketplace that connects users with nearby print services. Users can browse printers on a map, upload files, and submit print jobs. Printer operators can register their businesses, set pricing, and manage incoming jobs.

3. User Accounts

You may use the Service as a guest (anonymous) or with a permanent account. Anonymous users can browse, submit print jobs, and track status. Permanent accounts are required to register and manage printers. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

4. File Uploads

When you submit a print job, you upload files (PDF, images, Word documents) to our servers. Files are stored temporarily for the printer operator to process. You must not upload content that infringes others' rights, is illegal, or contains malware. Maximum file size is 10 MB.

5. Payment & Fees

Print Awan displays estimated costs based on printer pricing. Payment arrangements are made directly between you and the printer operator. Print Awan does not process payments.

6. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to: (a) use the Service for illegal purposes; (b) upload harmful or infringing content; (c) abuse or overload the Service; (d) impersonate others; or (e) circumvent security measures.

7. Limitation of Liability

Print Awan is provided "as is." We do not guarantee uninterrupted service or the quality of print services offered by third-party operators. You use the Service at your own risk.

8. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

1. Information We Collect

We collect: (a) account data (email, username) when you sign up; (b) files you upload for print jobs; (c) location data (browser geolocation) when you search for nearby printers; (d) messages in job chats; (e) usage data (e.g., pages visited) via standard web analytics; and (f) if you choose to sign in with Google, the basic profile information Google shares with us (see Sign in with Google below).

2. How We Use Your Data

We use your data to: provide the Service (e.g., match you with printers, store files for operators); improve the app; send transactional messages (e.g., account confirmation); and comply with legal obligations.

3. Sign in with Google

If you choose "Continue with Google", Google shares your name, email address and profile picture with us (the openid, email and profile permissions). We never receive your Google password and request no other access to your Google account.

We use your email address to create and identify your Printer Awan account and to send transactional messages about it. Your name and profile picture are stored with your account by our authentication provider (Supabase); we do not currently display or use them. Your public username is generated by us and is not taken from your Google account.

We do not sell Google user data, do not use it for advertising, and do not share it with anyone except Supabase, which stores our accounts. Printer Awan's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

You can remove Printer Awan's access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions, and you can ask us to delete your account and the Google data stored with it using the contact details below.

4. Data Storage & Retention

Data is stored on Supabase (database and storage). Uploaded files are kept so printer operators can process jobs. We may retain data as needed for legal or operational purposes.

5. Sharing

We share: (a) your uploaded files with the printer operator for the job you submit; (b) chat messages with the other participant in that job; and (c) printer details (name, address, location) publicly on the map. We do not sell your personal data.

6. Third-Party Services

We use Supabase (auth, database, storage), Google (optional sign-in), OpenStreetMap (map tiles), Nominatim (address search), and Featurebase (feedback board, only if you choose to post there). Their privacy policies apply to data they process.

7. Your Rights

You may: request access to your data; request deletion (where feasible); opt out of non-essential communications; and withdraw consent where applicable. Contact us to exercise these rights.

8. Security

We use industry-standard measures (HTTPS, secure auth, access controls) to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure; we urge you to protect your account credentials.

9. Children

The Service is not intended for users under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

10. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy. Material changes will be noted by updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
